Sarah Mackenzie (she/her) is a creative director, cultural strategist, filmmaker and curator based in Tio'Tia:Ke/Montreal who works at the forefront of art, technology and social good. From documentary to commercial projects, Sarah has over a decade’s worth of experience working with global brands, creative studios, festivals, artists, advertising agencies, and production companies bringing campaigns and editorial projects to life. 

Sarah is currently Creative Director at MUTEK, a festival dedicated to the promotion of electronic music and the digital arts, overseeing the MUTEK Forum and special projects. As a speaker and moderator with a focus on culture, technology and immersive art, Sarah is represented internationally, for example at The Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF), Future of Festivals BerlinArt Basel and Water & Music’s Wavelength Summit.

Previously, she was the Director of Marketing at entertainment studio Gentilhomme and Head of Content for Red Bull Media House, where she spearheaded multiple documentaries and all unscripted content in Canada, from the artist profile series Queued Up to snowboard series Brothers McMorris.
Sarah is also a key collaborator of Impostor Cities, Canada’s official representation at the 2021 Venice Biennale in Architecture.
